UK Pennine Way

Time to start walking again after several years of restricted travel. While on a visit to UK, I have taken the opportunity to walk the Pennine Way. Opened in 1965, it was the first UK national trail, and while not the longest now, at 268 miles (435km), it is a good couple of weeks walking. More details at the national trail website.

Pennine Way Route

The plan is to walk from South to North, starting at Edale (between Manchester and Sheffield) on 7 June 2022 and finishing at Kirk Yetholm on the English/Scottish border around 23 June.

Map Tracking

I am carrying a Garmin inReach and my track can be seen at share.garmin.com/3XNQK with a credential of pennine.

Daily Reports

I am aiming to write a summary of each day with my best photos on route. These can be found on the blog.
